any way a pricce of 250 euro is not much for a phone like E71 is! again I'm saying a White color has better and nicer steel design than Black one. Just google down picctures and U'll notice this.

I'm seriously thinkin to sell/change my iPhone 3G. and the only thing that I want QWERTY keyboard phone. Also It's important for me a Wi-Fi cuz it is so useful, I saw this with my iPhone. But iPhone 3G lacks a lot of thing, like Bluetooth transfer, not-easy for sms-ing,so bad camera even no Video Recorder! etc etc!

So Nokia E71 now has a retail price of 250 Euro and a good camera will cost me something like 200 euro, this is a price of E72! so it is WORTH buying E71 and a Perfect Camera!

Also built quality of E71 especially White one is far better than any competitor, including E72! also screen is from Glass not plastic and it is easy to read during direct sunlight!

this is my opinion after all Nokia E71 is still worth buying and a major update will make it even more fun to use.

can sum1 tell me whats the diff. between the U.S. version and the GLOBAL? can the U.S. be used outside the U.S.?

Has somebody boldly got or seen a N72 Made in Finland.
My is China made brown topaz, bought it for 500$.
No major differ from E71 only an upgrade. Repenting now to sell as its menu button rubs against sides.
Wait for a cell for year to buy next genration than make it a Craze

Of course, your right about the quality. But i'd hate to see people buy a gsm only for the camera. These days you can get a descent 8MP camera with good quality for about 150 to 200 euros.
If you take a lot of pictures i'd say but camera and a E71. If dont really care about the quality, and you hate to carry around a camera AND your cell during holiday's. By all means get this phone!
Or you can just save some cash a few month and get the E72 + camera ^^.

I buy the Nokia E72 from Hong Kong at 380 Euro, also in the package was include one Nokia BH-804(handsfree bluetooth) and another battery BL-4L and another charger from Speedy.Since 1996 i have just Nokia phones and saying this my opinion about the E72 it this one: Nokia E71 is built better than E72 (that's for sure)but also E72 is nice.About the speed is a small difference between E72&E71 the only big difference i notice was the nokia messaging (e-mail) on the Nokia E72.The camera is bad but better than E71.For good pictures use a real camera.Software bugs for the moment don't have. The torch light is very good but one time the light start without pushing the torch key.About the sound quality E72 is much better than E71.If you use the headphones is quit great as long you have your songs at 0 decibels.Is a business phone and is a good one.

It's available now in the Philippines, I went to three shops in the SM mall in Angeles City today and had a play with a topaz brown model, it looks and feels great although no one could confirm what the processor speed is with the China made models. Price was P21,500 (approx. US$460) in all three shops. So I'll patiently wait until I know the processor speed and see if the price comes down before Christmas.

well Iīve tried the e72, since itīs out in shops here in Sweden and I think itīs great. Of course Iīve also tried the camera and itīs waay better than the e71 camera. Of course itīs not comparable to a pocket digital camera but compared to other mobile phones id does great even if itīs not carl zeiss optics.
Right now I use a Nokia n82 and I must say that the e72 is not far from the n82 in picture quality, it doesnīt have the same zoom qualities and maybe not the video capabilities but I donīt use that much anyway :).
For being a camera always carrying with you and for taking spontaneous pictures I think it will do that great, almost as good as n82!

I had a look yesterday at the mobile phone built...To be honest, although people say its built isnt as great as an E71, i found it to be sturdy. I played with it for minutes, and found it to be responsive, though the optical pad was a bit slow for me in response, even when the sensitivity was pushed to high...

Al in all, i think i will still wait for the black edition, at the moment all the shops have the brown one which isnt my taste.

Got connected to Nokia Hotline this morning and talked to their executive , according to him E72 will be out on December 1st...they took my name and contact number

interestingly E72 will cost nearly Rs 2000 less in Kolkata ( the executive told that voluntarily)!

The Barcode reader application is used for decoding different types of codes (for example, barcodes and codes in magazines). The codes may contain different kinds of information, such as URL links, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.

Before scanning a code, depending on the type of the camera in your device, turn the close-up switch of the camera to close-up mode when scanning the code.

To scan a code, select Scan code. Set the code between the red lines on the display. The Barcode reader scans and decodes the code, and the decoded information appears on the display.

What ever the comparisons between E71 & E72, two things stands out (got both). Battery life (heavy usage) and fast processor (also heavy usage).
