I have a nokia 5310 xm and I'm happy to have it.. I have it for about 3 weeks. The music with earphones is very clear, the loudspeaker is on the average not to loud and not to low... One problem that I have with this phone is that it crashes everytime... whenever I tune in music and simultaneously texting... my phone crashes... I want to know if other people encounter this problem too with their 5310 xm phone.. Pls.. tell me

Well, after some days using the phone I will give my impressions:
Battery: Lasted less than three days with: 220 minutes music reproduction with earphones.
20 minutes music with loudspeaker. (Good quality, surprised!!)
5 messages received, 8 sended.
5-6 Calls a day each 5-8 minutes.
And of course the typical usage you give when a phone is new (too many navigation throgh menus). A usage you donīt do normally.
Itīs really comfortable to wear in your pocket jeans, donīt know in which pocket I have it. That was the main reason for buying it whith the price it costs.
Build quality: Good feeling in your hands, not cheap material feeling.
Camera: Who relies in a mobile camera quality to make serious pictures? I have my digital camera for that. For saturday-night pictures and other silly stuff is ok (donīt expect a terrific quality).
Music: I just laugh when I read comments about the fight between SE and Nokia music phones. I was using a SE K880i and sounded good. Now, with the 3,5mm jack connection I can use my 120 euros earphones. Amazing. Just leaved my Ipod in a drawer (although Ipodīs interface is much more friendly). Donīt believe comments of people using crap headphones for the tests.
Volume ringtone: Well, I have heard many other phones much more louder. 5310 is not specially high but hey! itīs not as low as some say (at least for me) I use to have the phone in my pocket with vibration or really close to me, so itīs not a big issue right now.
Buttons: I was about to buy the W880.. But the buttons... The most uncomfortable Iīve seen for my fingers. 5310 has "normal" buttons compared to todayīs standards.
Resuming: Good phone for the price. Tiny in the pocket,(plus now I donīt have to go out with the huge-thick K880i + the Ipod),the 3,5mm headphone connection is what other brands SHOULD do in case of calling their phones "music devices". Eye candy and cool. Iīm happy with that. So happy
Hope it was helpful.

hi all,
got the 5310 today. First impressions, really good. It is an excellent phone, excellent recepetion, good loud ringtones, and a nice keypad for texting - this is what a phone is for, right? Now, it is an excellent music player, and mine came with a 2gb mem card - not too sure if this is standard - but mem cards are not as expensive as they once were. The build/construction of the phone is nice and solid, and does not feel like a cheap, kids phone. Quite a anice little number this one.
I regularly read gsm opinions and i can help, if anyone has any questions. I've moved on from a 6300, and it runs in the same way, nice smooth user interface, snappy too. Pictures are always the same, i know it is a 2mp cam, but without the flash, it isnt really much match to other phones out there - but i rarely used the camera. Anyway, excellent phone, really happy with it. take care y'all.

The guys at hardwarezone.com.au have tested it and they like it very much. They found NOTHING wrong with the speaker, btw.
"Of course, as a music oriented phone, the most important feature is its audio playback and not imaging. We played several test tracks and found the audio output crystal clear without any apparent distortions or static....
...Besides that, its onboard speakers were also definitely up to standards. Loud, clear and booming audio (for a phone) can be experienced even with the speakers at full volume. When you receive calls or message, the phone will pause the current audio playback, but what's brilliant about this is that the music volume will gradually rise back to its original volume instead of resuming instantly in a sudden loud continuation."

Hi - have had this phone about a week...
Love the phone - great sleek design, great quick access music buttons... Sound is particularly good through headphones, little bit quiet with inbuilt speaker - you may have to set max volume for incoming calls, but its really not a big problem.
The screen has very bright and clear colours (16mill.colour) so looks great when you throw some high quality pics onto it.. I also love that the front screen is customizable ie you can choose your own quick links etc...
You prob won't want this phone if you want a high end camera, but if you love a fantastic looking phone with great music playing ability & great feel in the hand, grab this one. Also I have had no probs with making calls etc - love this phone! (did i mention it looks great?)
