hey guys,
am new to the forum here. glad to see you fellas.
am actually planning a new phone,
with so many brands and models out there its kind of getting tough for me to select one for me.
so here are the few basic criterion i set for the future phone.
* touchscreen
* WiFi
* good resolution
* strudy enough
* userfriendly interface
* 3g ( although i have no idea on what that is)
and most important of all.... easy on the pocket....
thanks a ton in advance guys.....

What is easy on the pocket for you? Well the 5800 IS the best bang for buck touch phone.
Anyway, the UI is only probably easy to learn if you've used an s60 phone before, but thats really relative. I was playing around with my friend's Iphone the other day and I am still confused about their UI, and they say its inutitive
3G is a high speed data connection which is network depended, depending on the device it has speeds up up to 10mbps internet. Also it allows for video calls.

Well, first I would like your budget and country. Its quite difficult to find anything for you if we dont know what your budget is. In euro conversion or $ mind. So you would prefer something that's not Nokia? Would you want it to be a smartphone or would you be fine with a dummyphone?

Budget? A nice touch screen phone without you mentioning your budget could range from a 5530/ Star/ Cookie right up to an Omnia HD/ N97/ Satio

nokia is the first preference, rest all come next.
i am in India and the budget is up to 300USD.
a decent smart phone is what i am looking for.
it would be better if we split the list in touch and non touch...

Lets see, you can get a 5800, N85 or 5730.
If your into music and vids, get the 5800.
Looking for a camera phone- get the N85
Want music + QWERTY combo and a unique design- get the 5730
